Welcome to Waypoint Wellness.
– Kupena Kāpehu Whetū o te Ora –
My name is Glenda, and I am a Registered Social Worker who has been practicing since 2006.
I have always had compassion for those who are walking a difficult road. Life can get hard, and sometimes we just need someone to walk alongside us and give us the courage to move forward and navigate the journey ahead.
My background in Social Work is with Elderly, Disability and for the past 16 years with Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I decided, after being in a management role for the past 10 years, that I wanted to get back to the grassroots of Social Work. My passion is hands on work alongside individuals to support them to achieve being the best they can be and to support navigating difficult times in their lives courageously and maintaining their self-worth.
I am offering Social Work support and advocacy but also support around Mental Health challenges for Tamariki and Rangatahi aged 9-18 as this is my specialty.

“Glenda provided invaluable support to our whānau as we sought treatment and assistance for our teenage son’s ADHD. She guided us through the process with compassion and professionalism, significantly easing the stress we faced as parents. As an advocate, she genuinely connected with our son, who responded positively to her sincerity and care. I wholeheartedly recommend Glenda to any whānau navigating the complexities of mental health support for their children and teenagers”
